The mission of our CHIEF Cheer Program is to teach our student athletes the benefits of competition and understand we must have a higher purpose in competing: glorifying Christ by using our gifts, having self discipline, developing Godly character and displaying good sportsmanship and teamwork.
Cheerleading is a team sport! Each and every cheerleader is important to their team. Being a part of a team is a privilege for each student. An important purpose of CHIEF cheerleaders is to promote and uphold school spirit, unity and pride, to represent CHIEF to the highest degree.
Chief Cheer is open to girls in grades 6-12 and will run from August 1st-March 30th. We will cheer for Eagles Football and Chief Basketball. (At this time we will not be a competitive squad but that may change in the future.) Practices will be Thursday evenings @ 6pm, along with a day cheer camp twice a year. Although the cheer squad is made up of girls 6th-12th grade we will host two cheer clinics a year in which we will give the younger girls a chance to participate and perform.
Erica Collins will be your Head Cheer Coach she has cheered for 8 years and held many cheer clinics within her homeschool group.
Melissa Baity will be your Assistant Cheer Coach.
