Koinonia Co-op

The chief aim of the Koinonia co-op is to allow formation of deep Christian fellowship and friendship as we all learn and grow together. This aim is reflected in the co-op's name.

Koinonia (pronounced: koy - na - nee - ah) comes from the Greek word koinos, meaning "common and is often translated as "fellowship. It denotes gathering for a common purpose and a spirit of generous sharing.

One of the great attributes of Koinonia is its structuring for families. The framework has classes for Nursery, Preschool, Kindergarten & 1st, 2nd & 3rd, 4th - 6th , Middle School and High School. Each age group is offered a Science hour, an Arts hour (Language Arts and Performing Arts) and an Elective.

The science class is year-long, while the Arts and Elective classes are divided into two semesters, allowing several different subjects to be taken.  We have an hour lunch break built into the Co-Op which gives ample time for fellowship for the students and mothers.

Koinonia Co-op meets weekly and is structured to offer a 12-week Fall semester and a 12-week Winter/Spring semester. We begin each meeting with a group assembly time at 8:40 a.m. and end our day of learning together at 1:10 p.m.

Applications for enrollment are accepted all year long.
